Our Process

In September 2022, after five years of working and expanding our architectural support delivery team, we focused on setting up a management structure, organisational processes, refining communication, and implementation of quality control measures - the finishing touches of launching frontload across the UK. This included embedding technology to assist with scale, growth and profitability.

Our Founder

As an architectural practice founder, established in 2008, Nick understands the fundamental challenges this sector has with scale and profitability. He has brought to market, frontload, giving the UK access to high tech, low cost, quality focused, efficient, architectural delivery. After nine years as a Managing Director, Nick joined an architectural tech start up venture. This organisation raised multi millions of pounds in investment and has now completed 6000+ projects within its first five years. They have now become the nation’s largest architectural/planning agent in the residential development space, submitting in the region of 120-150 applications a month.

Nick was heavily involved in building the business from the ground up and gained first-hand experience in substantial scale/growth. In January 2022, Nick re-joined his original practice and has utilised all the knowledge he gained within the startup/scaleup space, focusing on the implementation of technology and innovation. As a result, he enabled a medium sized, traditional practice to double revenue, increase gross profit substantially and embrace technological advances.

He sees frontload as an opportunity for businesses to adapt and prosper.

Our aim is to help owners sell their properties. We help buyers to understand the potential for a property to expand or be adapted. We assist property developers and investors to focus on enhancing the return on their investment. Over the past 20 years, it has become clear that homeowners, buyers, developers and investors have increasingly looked to utilise industry specialists and consultants prior to completing a transaction.
 
We recognise that homeowners often are not capitalising on the value of their property by demonstrating its development potential. Buyers can struggle understanding the viability to develop, and often seek reassurance. Property developers/investors naturally want to focus on houses/sites which they can transform or expand to optimise profit margins/rental yield.

Our product, enhanced by artificial intelligence, offers buyers, sellers, developers, and investors a clear and concise report. This includes a comprehensive overview of an individual site or house/property which incorporates information relating to a property’s history, planning policy advice, local approvals/refusals, and searches/constraints.

Streamlining Delivery

All business owners experience upturns and downturns. One of the biggest challenges faced relates to maintaining project numbers, driving profitability and steady growth. When ‘new business’ slows, it’s natural to double down on marketing and sales. In turn, a surge in demand occurs, which negatively impacts delivery/quality, and a sustainable working environment. Rhythm is tough and if this can’t be achieved it creates exposure in many areas. This is why frontload offers businesses a product which reduces fixed costs, whilst being able to activate levers to control volatility.

Frontload enables users to benefit from a nine-hour time difference, alongside weekend work, enabling you to capitalise on delivery.

The workflow states, which are embedded within our app, ensure that you have great levels of communication via our messenger facility, and quality control. This includes managing the output of existing architectural drawings, proposals, setting up of planning applications, including householder, lawful development certificates and more, via the planning portal. We have also included 3D models, interactive experiences, such as AR/VR, and building regulation packages. Each state allows you to review, comment and markup any feedback to ensure we meet the standard you require.

The CAD software available includes AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and various 3D tools.
